Elastico: Ball Knowledge. Last updated 3 November 2026

Elastico: Ball Knowledge ("Elastico") is a football quiz and party game run by Konstantinos Diamantopoulos. This page says what we keep about you, why, and how to see it or have it removed.

What we keep

WhatWhy
Your usernameTo sign you in and show you to your groups.
Your birth month and yearTo check you are old enough for an account where you live, and to give under 18s safer settings. Never shown to anybody.
Your countryThe age you may join at depends on it. Nothing else is done with it.
When you agreed to these terms, and which versionTo show you agreed, and to ask again when they change.
Your password, scrambled (scrypt)To check it is you. Nobody, us included, can read it back.
A recovery code, scrambledTo let you reset a forgotten password.
Sign-in tokens, one per device, scrambledTo keep you signed in.
If you sign in with Apple or Google: the user number they give us for youTo know it is you next time. We never ask them for your email or name.
A profile photo, if you add one (18 and over only)To show on your card, to people in your groups. People you meet only online never see it.
Your Instagram, TikTok and X handles, if you add them (18 and over only)To show on your card, with a link, to people in your groups. People you meet only online never see them. Clear a box to remove one.
Who invited you, if you signed up from a friend's linkTo give them their invite XP once you play. They see your username, nothing else.
Your games: scores, stats, medals, XP, what you chose to wearThat is the game.
Feedback you send: your four ratings, what you write, the game, your username, the app version and the kind of phoneSo we can read it, put things right, and give XP for the useful ones. Only we read it. It goes with your account.
How many games you play, and for how longTo see what's popular. This is never shared.
In a game with other people: each answer, right or not, and how long it took; online, how often and how long the app was left during the gameTo look into a report of cheating. Only we see it. Kept 60 days.
The groups you are in, and what was played and said in them (names, answers, Imposter clues)So a group can see its history and ladder.
Your messages in a group's chat (18 and over only)To show them to the people in that group who are 18 or over, from when each joined. Kept 30 days, and the last 200 a group; a backup can hold them up to 30 days more. You can delete your own; the group's owner can delete any.
The scores you predict in the Score PredictorTo score them. Your group sees them only once each game kicks off. Kept for twelve weeks.
A league you buy for your group: which league, which group, when, and Stripe's reference for the paymentTo add the league for the season. Your card details go to Stripe, who takes the payment; they never reach us.
Players you blockSo you are never drawn against them again, and their chat messages are hidden from you.
The questions in your last twelve quizzes, and what you pickedSo you can report one you think we got wrong.
Reports: an answer you say is wrong, or a player or chat message you report, with your usernameTo fix the answer, or to act on the player.
Your time zoneSo the Daily turns over at your midnight.
A reminder subscription, if you turn a reminder on (the Daily, or the Score Predictor before it locks)To send it. Turning both off deletes it. The Score Predictor reminder carries your group's name and how many games are left, encrypted so only your phone can read it.
The days you played (the date only)To count how many players come back. Seen only by us, as totals.
If the app breaks: what broke and the kind of browser, not who you areTo fix it. Kept in the server log.

We do not ask for your email, phone number, real name, birthday or exact location. Your internet address is used for a moment to stop floods of requests, and is not stored.

Pro paid by a parent

An under-18 can send a parent a link to pay for Elastico Pro. The page it opens shows the player's username and nothing else about them. The parent's email goes to Stripe for the receipts and billing; it is kept for billing only, and Elastico itself does not keep it. The link works once, for 7 days.

Google Analytics and Google Ads

On the website we use Google Analytics, and Google Ads' measurement, to see how people find and use Elastico: the pages opened, the games started, sign-ups and purchases with their price. Never your username, your email or your account. Under-18 accounts are never tracked, and the store apps never load it. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it runs only if you tap Accept; Decline, and it stays off. When it runs, Google sets its own cookies. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy, and how Google uses data from sites like ours: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

What we do not do

No selling or sharing of data, no profiling. On the website, accounts without Elastico Pro see one card a game for Elastico Pro, our own, chosen by nothing about you; under-18s never see it. No cookies of our own for players, except two short ones while you sign in with Apple or Google (ten minutes at most, used for nothing else). The app keeps your sign-in token, your settings (level, background) and your cookie answer in your browser's local storage.

Invite from Contacts opens your phone's Messages with your link in it; the number you pick never reaches us. Sharing a result makes a picture on your phone and hands it to your share sheet; we post nothing anywhere.

Where it is kept

On our server, hosted by Railway in Singapore, with a backup each day kept for 14 days on the server and 30 days in a separate store.

Who else handles it

Only these, and only for what is said:

Seeing it, and taking it with you

Profile, then Account, then Download my data gives you everything we keep about your account as a file, less the scrambled password, recovery code and tokens.

Removing it

Profile, then Account, then Delete account. Your account, stats, medals, photo and chat messages are removed straight away. Games you played in a group stay in that group's history under "Former player", with nothing that links back to you. Backups that still hold your account are gone within 30 days.

Without the app: write to [email protected] with your username, and we delete the account the same way.

Children

You need to be 13 or older to make an account, or older where the law says so: 14 in Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Italy, Lithuania, Spain, South Korea and China; 15 in Czechia, France and Greece; 16 in Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia; 18 in India. Solo and Party games can be played without an account.

Under 18s cannot add a profile photo, and nobody they meet online sees more than their username and game stats. Group chat is for 18 and over: under 18s cannot read or send messages, and there are no private messages between players.

If an account says it is too young, it is closed straight away and deleted after 30 days. If you think a child under these ages has an account, write to [email protected] and we will delete it.

Reporting and blocking

Open a player's card to report their name, photo or play, or to block them. In a group's chat, tap a message to report it or block whoever sent it. We read every report and can take a photo or a message down, suspend or delete an account.

Your rights

Wherever you live you can ask to see, correct, take or delete what we keep, and complain to us. In the UK and the EU you can also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO); in Australia, to the OAIC. We answer within 30 days.

Football data

The facts about players, clubs and competitions come from Wikipedia and Wikidata (CC BY-SA and CC0). Club names are used to identify the clubs; Elastico is not connected with any club, league or federation.
